Getting or renewing a passport

New passports take 3-4 months to process, please apply or renew prior to April 2025 to ensure enough processing time.

Flights and Transportation

Direct flights to Costa Rica are available from North Carolina (ex. 4 hours direct from Charlotte). Liberia Airport (LIR) is a 30-minute drive from Andaz resort. The hotel conceirge can arrange a shuttle or you can book one through the airport. Driving in Costa Rica is easy if you plan to travel around or prefer to rent a car. The resort includes free valet parking.

Other places we love

Other areas we recommend are Tamarindo Beach and Arenal Volcano/La Fortuna. Tamarindo Beach is about 1.5 hours south of Andaz. La Fortuna is a 3 hour drive from Andaz. We highly recommend a stay at Tabaćon Resort and Hot Springs if time permits.
